  • ✓Datasheet: SDA-70553-XXXX rev M (EC 617172), released 2019-05-14, 3 sheets; the page copy is byte-identical to a fresh molex.com download (2026-10-27, sha256 73aaf184...).
  • ✓BOM: J7 on Teazzers_Taprite_MX-3140N_Carrier carry the Molex part number of this page (BOM, schematic and board value): the page is the intended part. DigiKey and Molex list it as through hole, right angle.
  • ✓Footprint rebuilt from SDA-70553-XXXX rev M sheet 1 RECOMMENDED PC BOARD LAYOUT: 9 holes 1.09 (1.09 +-0.08) at 2.54 (+-0.08 non-accum.), pads 1.74 (KiCad SL 171971 convention for the same 0.64 pin), pad 1 roundrect at the origin, positions along +Y; overlay on the layout coincides (provenance/evidence/overlay_sheet1_pcb_layout.png).
  • ✓Body outline and courtyard from the drawing: mating face 12.89 from the pad row (13.21 to the tail rear edge - 0.32), overall depth 13.59, width B + 2 x 1.02 = 25.41 (cavity B = 23.37), latch 6.99 high; courtyard 0.5 mm round body and pads; silk clipped 0.2 mm clear of the pads; pad 1 silk triangle.
  • •Contact numbering: SDA-70553 does not number the contacts and the header is symmetric about its centre; contact 1 = pad 1 = the board footprint pad 1 (unchanged).
  • ✓3D: Molex's own STEP 705530008.stp for 70553-0008 (STEP AP203 (CONFIG_CONTROL_DESIGN), Pro/ENGINEER export 2013-07-31, one fused solid, no colour), from the 3D CAD model link on the Molex product page (https://www.molex.com/content/dam/molex/molex-dot-com/products/automated/en-us/3dcadmodels/705/70553/705530008_stp.zip, retrieved 2026-10-27; zip sha256 4f37a6c140be, STEP sha256 a0aa4db9525c); original bytes kept as vendor/0705530008-molex-original.step.
  • ✓Posed by rotation and translation only (provenance/tools/pose_vendor.py): new X, Y, Z = Molex axes [[0, 0, 1], [1, 0, 0], [0, 1, 0]], then translate [7.1755, -10.16, 2.922] mm; seat (lowest housing level, found by bisection) on z = 0, mating face toward +X; all 9 tails land on their drilled pads (max offset 0.000 mm); footprint binding identity.
  • ✓Molex model against SDA-70553-XXXX rev M (provenance/tools/measure_vendor.py, provenance/drawing_check.json): overall depth (13.59) REF 13.589 (drawing 13.59); overall height (6.99) REF 6.986 (drawing 6.99); width B + 2 x (1.02) 25.4 (drawing 25.41); tail below seat D (3.30) REF 3.301 (drawing 3.3); mating face to tail rear edge (13.21) TYP 13.211 (drawing 13.21); cavity height 3.05 3.048 (drawing 3.05); E: pin tip to cavity rear wall 6.10 +-0.25 6.096 (drawing 6.1); cavity rear wall from mating face (8.89) 8.89 (drawing 8.89); pin square (0.64) 0.635 (drawing 0.64): all within the drawing tolerances.
  • ✓The posed Molex model, overlaid on the drawing views at the drawing scale, coincides with the outline, pins and tails (provenance/evidence/overlay_sheet1_side_view.png, provenance/evidence/overlay_sheet1_pcb_layout.png).
  • •Undimensioned detail: the latch block on top is 2.79 mm deep in the Molex model against about 3.8 mm drawn on the 4:1 side view; every printed dimension agrees.
  • •Colour: none in the Molex file (AP203, one fused solid); nothing to keep, GLB uncoloured.
  • ✓MPN etch: adom-chip-laser 0.2.0 on the housing top (1.667 mm font, separate Adom.LaserEtch part).
  • ✓step_pose.py: plain and etched STEP PASS (Z-up, seat on z = 0, tails below, identity binding; body off the pad-pattern centre by design, right-angle overhang, courtyard centred on the body).
  • •Symbol Footprint property changed from Connector_PinHeader_2.54mm:PinHeader_1x09_P2.54mm_Vertical to 0705530008:0705530008 (the page footprint).
  • ✓Distributors: DigiKey WM4907-ND (Molex 0705530008, CONN HEADER R/A, confirmed by search 2026-10-27); Mouser lists the part with Mouser No. N/A (not sold) -> false with a note.
  • •Boards affected: Teazzers_Taprite_MX-3140N_Carrier J7 use the generic vertical KiCad footprint; see the result file for the per-reference differences. The boards are Caleb's to change.
  • ✓Symbol Datasheet / MPN / Manufacturer / DigiKey / Mouser / LCSC properties agree with page.json; footprint Datasheet property points at the manufacturer datasheet URL
  • ✓component-page-verify: all checks pass

  • •Board uses a generic KiCad pin-header/socket footprint and model, not the Molex part-specific land pattern. Footprint and 3D need checking against the Molex sales drawing.

  • ✓Footprint extracted pad-for-pad from the source board and normalized to the footprint frame (back-side parts un-mirrored)
  • ✓3D model seated z=0 at footprint origin (placement inverse; method centroid-matched to KiCad library models on 59 cases)
  • ✓adom-lbr generate + lint passed
  • ✓9 of 9 pins described
  • •Not yet checked by a person: land pattern vs datasheet, pin-1/orientation, 3D body vs drawing
